And so it was... our story of highs and lows. The currents of time have swept me off to uncharted bodies of waters, yet I find myself often looking back at memories of a distant past, constantly hoping that things would have turned out differently, yet struggling against a conscious deep down knowing that things would not be the same if it did.

With my whole heart, I wish that you would muster the courage and take that first step towards that person. I hope you make choices that you would be proud of and most importantly, I pray for strength deep within your soul - strength to pursue what you love and desire.

To end off, I would like to share a piece of poetry by an amazing writer, whose words captured each of my emotions perfectly in an amazing play of words and expressions.

Almost Love - Grayce Tan

Almost is for the broken promise.

Almost is for the bad timing.

Almost is the text unsent.

Almost is the text I sent.

Almost is for all the times I wanted to call.

Almost is for all the words I swallowed.

Almost is for letting go when all I really wanted to do was hold on.

And now almost is for what never was enough.

To my almost love, maybe it was the second hand of the clock - how it always moved too fast, maybe it was our curves - how they always felt like edges, or maybe it was the stars in the skies that night - the constellations long written that told a story of different orbits, but I'm sorry we didn't happen. I really am.

If I could take it back in time I'd go all the way to before the rocks were formed and the sun lit up the world, I'd write our stories in every wave and bead of sand, engrave our names in thousand year old books, and seal our fates between the poetry lines - my dear, I'd pave the way for us.

I would break every dawn with the proclamation of our love, and I'd sign off every sunset with a lipstick stain and a promise of a new tomorrow.

I'd never allow for a flower to be plucked before its time, or for a leaf to fall before the branch mustered enough courage to say goodbye.

I would never let any rain fall, when I know we've made plans to meet that night.

For you my dear, you know I'd even make Venus and Mars collide, to give us a second chance, make time for one last dance, to give us one last fight.

To my almost love, if I could take it back in time, I'd take the letters 'a' and 'l' out of the alphabets, to change every "almost" into "most". So that way you'd always be my most love because truth be told, you are - despite our every almost.

But to my almost love, history can't be rewritten and our story's cast in stone. So to my almost love, you should know: I'd give it all to go back in time, not to change anything, but to feel a few things again.
